The date formats set up under Edit > Edit Date Formats Workspace menu are the system-wide prototypes that may be selected by the users as input and display formats. Once established, users may select their date preferences for input style and/or display option from any place in Scribe, where applicable.

Add a Date Format
Select Formats > Add menu item. To add a new date format:

• replace the words New format in the editable field with the new style (e.g. YYYY+MM+DD);
• press the Set button (this will load the YYYY+MM+DD text string into the Current Formats area, replacing the New format text string);
• check the visual impression in the display test field;
• if you wish, use the forward and backward traversal buttons to look at the visual impact under different day/month/year combinations (the M button changes the months and the D button changes the days);
• if satisfied, select the Formats > Save menu item.

Delete a Date Format
Select the Date Format to be deleted; then select the Formats >Delete menu item, followed by Save
